SLY : New Gay Male Cast Member

A Gay Ass Cartoon is happy to announce our new cast member. His name is Sly, labeled as a gay male...if anyone needs to know.
I, for one, am very excited. Its been a while since we had the gay male perspective on the show....not since we first started...with Ninja.  Its nearly ten episodes later, and we are just getting another male on the cartoon...sad. Oh well, what can you do...

A little more about Sly....well,
I can't tell you much.  I do know he's in his mid-twenties and best friends with NefB...the rest you'll have to hear from him. Sly will be making his first appear-ance on A GAY ASS CARTOON this week.   The two best friends will be covering two of our fan topic requests.  The footage for that isn't quite done yet, but we did put together a few blooper/teaser clips.

Later, after the topic requests have been featured, Sly will most likely get his own introduction. Not to be blunt, but I'm going to milk this opportunity dry. First Sly...then all his gay friends...then the world....

The Fans

I have decided I want this cartoon to focus around two things...well three things: LGBT culture, LGBT promoting, and the fans. This blog is about the last, of the three..if you didn't notice. And if you did..ha ha you are just reading words.

Anyway, the fans. They are the driving force behind it all.  Whenever someone comes up to me and say, "Oh, I like that cartoon you're doing", or, "I'm excited about the cartoon." I get all warm inside.
So warm, I start to sweat and a since of insecurity takes over. My fever raises, and before you know it, I'm taking off clothes.

Then, I got to thinking.
"Why am I naked? Why am I stressing myself out?". After staring at the ceiling, pondering this idea for about 3 hours. It hit me. I will have the fans do the work. They want to be all supportive and excited...I'll show them!

I am happy to announce the next Facebook event, for A GAY ASS CARTOON. It is titled "Fan Request WANTED". During this event, fans will be able to post any LGBT topics that they would like featured on A GAY ASS CARTOON YouTube channel.

I personally think it is great way to stop sweating....
and interact with fans..

Look out for event...coming soon...like tomorrow.

StudvilleTV Collaboration

This week airs the promotional animated campaign of StudvilleTV. Brought to you to by yours truly....A Gay Ass Cartoon. The campaign's goal is the reach the budget need for season three of StudvilleTV. To contribute to this campaign visit ingiegogo.com .

StudvilleTV is a YouTube drama series that has been airing for over two years now.  The show focuses around the lives of four lesbian friends.  Which of course are all studs, hence the title. In this series you explore the up and downs on day-to-day life as a professional stud...missed in with plenty of sex and drama. With over 40,000 subscribers in counting, the series is steadily growing in fans.

I'm honored to be apart of this collaboration. Geeked in fact...
The campaign will be an animation short, that will be featured on both channels- StudvilleTV and A Gay Ass Cartoon. Starring Shawn Taylor, who plays Riley on StudvilleTV, and their director/writer Sheri Johnson. Its going to be a sweet promo....heck we might even collaborate some more, if all goes well.

HEY LGBT FAMILY!

HEY LGBT FAMILY,
What's up, I know its been a while.  I've been so "busy" with A GAY ASS CARTOON, I haven't kept up with the blog. My bad-my bad....don't trip. I got you!  I'm going to get back on my job, and make sure you guys are informed about everything that's going on.

Okay, so where to start....

I have finally come to the conclusion that audio is EVERYTHING.  Yeah, its been a bumpy ride, but it's finally clicked in my brain.  Expect smooth "hearing" for here on out.  Past cast members with low audio may not be returning on the next round of topics.  We really have to narrow down on the low voice and noisy backgrounds. Enough is enough dammit! I won't take anymore of this!

Furthermore....

PrettyBoy PreePree
PrettyBoy PreePree is now an official team member of GAC...alone with NefB and I (Kiddo). Even before her first appearance on A GAY ASS CARTOON with Bad Studs Club, she has been down for the cause and always supportive. On top of the fact, that she stays on her grind and always comes with, nice clean, loud ass audio. HOW CAN SHE NOT be a team member.  She was one of the first to see the potential of GAC and she will be there to reap the benefits!

If you haven't checked out PrettyBoy PreePree's most recent appearance on A GAY ASS CARTOON

StudvilleTV

What else......

I am presently conversing with the creators of StudvilleTV. Looking for our next collaboration project. I'm a big fan of the YouTube channel, and apparently the feeling are mutual.  This will be, by far, the most exciting event for us to date. They have just wrapped up Season 2 of StudvilleTV. Giving us an opportunity to create something new. I can't say much on the details of this project yet.  But hopefully, this is a start to a great relationship. Stay tuned in to both channels for the scoop! ITS GONNA BE AWESOME >_<

Oh one more thing.....

LGBT Musical Talent was the first event hosted by A GAY ASS CARTOON. By doing this, we were able to connect with LGBT artist/producers, and feature their soundtracks on our channel.  We are thinking of hosting another event...not sure on the need yet.  We might invited musicians again, or we might do a casting call for new cartoon characters. It's still up in the air right now, but we'll let everyone know before announcing the event date.

Anytime else...
Nah, I think that's it for now....

Where did you grow up?

I'm a military brat. I grew up pretty much everywhere lol. I was born in Americus GA, but once I came out we were stationed to Belgium til I was 7 years old.

How did you get started with Hip Hop?

I got started in Hip Hop around 8. We we're stationed to Fort Hood Texas and I use to attend a youth center called the DYA and an event was being Djed by AL B Sure. Well I showed interest and he showed me how to mix a live record and he gave me the mic and I said "Yes Yes Yawl and You Don't Stop".. After that I was hooked.

Who are your musical influences?

My musical influence was all the earlier hip hop from the 80's and so on.. I loved, Mc Lyte, Queen Latifah, Foxie Brown, Lil Kim Kool Moe Dee, Nas, Pac, and many more

How do you describe your music to people?

Real and very lyrical. I paint pictures.

Which ingredient do you think is most essential in making your sound and style the way it is?

It being from the heart and being well thought out with a GA sound with a West Coast touch.

What can you share about your experiences writing, producing, collaborating, and filming for your single "Keep It Trill"?

Creating Lets Just Keep It Trill was a personal experience because o lived a double life for a long time from my family not accepting I was a lesbian.  I was not married but in a relationship with guys I couldn't physically or emotionally give myself to.

How would you define the word “success”?

Success to me is living out your dreams. They say don't look for riches but satisfaction. It satisfies me to create and be heard.

Which latest songs, videos or mixtapes releases are currently available to your fans and where can they be heard or downloaded?

Love and Look for me to perform at a city near you. Also my new clothing line Cali-South Hustle is available, look for my websites to have official links.

GAY ASS INTERVIEW: Una-Ver-Sile Productions

A GAY ASS INTERVIEW

with

Una-Ver-Sile Productions

Una-Ver-Sile Logo

The first of many artist to collaborate with A GAY ASS CARTOON. Una-Ver-Sile Productions, has offered a helping hand with audio engineering. Using music composed by Una-Ver-Sile Productions, A GAY ASS CARTOON web series will have its first sample of background music.

The first track to ever be featured on A GAY ASS CARTOON will be titled UVS Theme Track 2. An original soundtrack by Una-Ver-Sile.

To listen to music produced by Una-Ver-Sile visit: https://soundcloud.com/uno_uvs

This opportunity was made possible by, the founder of Una-Ver-Sile Productions, Uno. The multi-talented musician that is not only a sound engineer but also a recording artist. We were able to speak with her on behalf of Una-Ver-Sile. Giving us an insight on Una-Ver-Sile and what to inspect for the future.

Uno (MC/ Music Producer)

When did you start Una-Ver-Sile?
Una-Ver-Sile is my producer name but I came up with it around 2011. A name I thought fits me..how I make music. I'm universal because I love to make all types of stuff that people could vibe to.

What is the meaning behind Una-Ver-Sile?
I incorporated my real name (Una) then combine "Ver-Sile". My family pronounces Una (Yuna) different than everyone else. My style of production touches different genres and I like to experiment with all kinds of sounds. One day the word universal best describe my style. I felt well why not flip the word but spell it another way then add my real name the way my fam say it. I actually wanted to put both together somehow and it worked out.

What type of music genre do you classify yourself?

I'm mostly hip/rap/rnb. But I'm just versatile..its no limit to my style.

Plans for Una-Ver-Sile in the future?
My plans in the future for me is releasing my mixtape that's in the works. And basically diving into different projects, building my brand, and take things to the next level.

Una-Ver-Sile Productions have three additional soundtracks that will be featured on A GAY ASS CARTOON, in the coming months. The first track to air on next weeks episode. Una-Ver-Sile's fresh sound is sure to add flavor to the new web series. Stay tuned in to learn more about the artist Uno, and other various LGBT musicians, that will be collaborate with A GAY ASS CARTOON.

LaSmoothe Broadcasting

The LaSmoothe Broadcast is in the works.
What the fuck is that? You ask.

The next GAY ASS CARTOON episode that's what! LaSmoothe makes her name on the show...with her own show lol.  We are setting up the chairs and cameras now (going for the talk show feel.).
Call her the girl with too many questions, LaSmoothe will be grilling some of our other cast members. LGBT question and answer session, I guess, you can say.

LaSmoothe is too funny...you should hear some of the shit that comes out her mouth. Sex positions, ratchets, homosexually drama...it is exactly the type of thing we encourage here at GAC.  We are going to give her the mic and let her rap...well not literally...but you know what I mean.

We have two interviews already in the works. One with the beloved smoker NefB and the other, a new cast member by the name of Ana. This could change the pace of A GAY ASS CARTOON...in a good way. We have tried one-on-one conversation with Internet Dating. Now that the audio is in check. This will be round two with The LaCool Broadcast. Magic in the making...

New Audio Equipment

Today is a good day!  The new audio equipment, I ordered, as arrived.  It's time to get to business with A Gay Ass Cartoon.  Everyone loves our visuals, but the sound can sometimes be off.  You can really hear it in the three episodes...I'm not sure what happened, but I'm never using my phone to record again! We need quality if we plan on the YouTube channel going anywhere.

"What type of audio equipment did I get?", oh wow, thanks for asking.  It's called a Zoom H4n, a hand held recorder (cause I'm always on the go).  A lot of humans here swear by it, and being the cartoon that I am; I really don't have the patients to research things.  So, I brought one off eBay for a cool price.  Only took about a week to get here...pretty sweet deal.

We are going to start off slow...probably for the next couple episodes.  Just so we can get a feel the the recorder.  But I'm excited and ready to get going!  Been holding off a lot of new topics and characters... waiting for this equipment.  Now that it is hear, we can really start pushing forward.  As Brain said, "It's sort of like you are coming out of the closet, again."

Coming Soon..

MalaysiaB: First Lady of A Gay Ass Cartoon

We found her! We finally found her!  Our first femme to add to the cast of A Gay Ass Cartoon.  She goes by the name MalaysiaB, and has the beauty, attitude, and class that is perfect for A Gay Ass Cartoon. Now before you say anything, the 'B' at the end of everyones' name (NefB, MutchyB, MalaysiaB..), is just a crazy coincidences.. I have no idea how that happened.  Guess they all just like that letter 'B'....just BE a gay thing..ha ha...ha

Regardless, MalaysiaB is perfect.
Perfect smile, prefect voice, prefect laugh...
and I'm not just saying that because she is my girlfriend.

"Now no...wait! SHUT UP thinking."

Yes, I'm using my girlfriend...well damn, I don't get out much.  I have to stay close to home until I can get some more team players.  Show me a femme that wants to be in an animated web series and I'm down. Until then, MalaysiaB is my girl...she always supports me. RATHER SHE WANTS TO OR NOT...ha ha...ha. First Lady of A Gay Ass Cartoon...and she's hot too ^_^

I'm intending, we are going to get a gang of femmes.
Surely enough, we'll get there...

to be continue...
Introducing Ninja...
shout out for my gay men

Femme Girls and Gay Boys...

Episodes are now airing weekly!  Picked Wednesdays as that "special day". Now that the YouTube channel is up, we can't afford to be slacking....I can't afford it.  Getting A Gay Ass Cartoon off the ground is too important to me.  I think there are some fans out there that agree. One messaged me saying how happy they were for our progress. That the LGBT community needs something like this. A few people said that actually. Another wrote that they support us fully. Also saying just that we need to get some femme characters, in the cartoon. 'True that'...I agree.
Working on it now... Got a pretty girl in mind, we'll see how it works out.

While the mission to find that perfect femme is in progressing, I have found our first young man to represent for the homosexual men. A family member of NefB's..pretty sweet. We recorded some footage this week. Going to chop-it-up and air it on the YouTube channel in the weeks to come. Funny and informative stuff, I can't wait!

Putting in WORK

Lot of things in the works now...
We got three videos being filmed and a promotional clip too...we need a sound engine.
This is going to be a big next couple weeks for A Gay Ass Cartoon. First part of
MutchyB's interview airs and we are launching it on YouTube..so that's additional prep.
We are going to need a small intro for out channel or something. I'll need to convert the videos we
already have.

Then, we are going to follow up with part two of MutchyB's interview.
I think we may switch it up before airing part three though.  I was talkling with NefB this weekend.
Got it all planned out.  We intend on also slipping in another video with NefB.
She always has hot topics on deck.

I call this: The Week of putting in WORK.

MutchyB joins the team.

So the hommie MutchyB has just joined the team...the Gay Ass Cartoon Team.  It's pretty exciting, if I may say so myself.  AND I DO! She is cool people, and has a lot to bring to the table. MutchyB is the youngest one in the group and has the most tattoos. Adding some swag to the team!

Interesting person, that MutchyB.  We recorded an interview with her. In the last few days, got some good footage.  Plan on airing it to the Gay Ass Cartoon Show.  Going to get the YouTube poppin' and everything.  Ah man, it has some funny moments...and a few inspirational ones too. I know she'll make a fine addition to the team.

The word GAY

So, one of my dear friends was recently offended when I used the word "GAY"...
Yes, the word "GAY". Which at the time, I thought was pretty ridicules.  Not to say, I don't see her point-of-view. I just don't get what the big deal is. She was all offensive, like she was the only homosexual in the room. I'm right here 'hommie'...I'm right here.

Okay, so this is how it went down. I think, I was referring to something I saw on television. It was cheesy long and boring. After which, I responded with "That was hella GAY!"
She then questioned, "GAY? Why does it have to be gay? Why does GAY have to be a bad thing?"

hmm okay....PAUSE

Now you are the one putting negative meanings to words. From what I know, "GAY" has two different meanings. One is a homosexual person and the other meaning stands for happy. Homosexuality is not negative...it's love that breaks through the boundaries and limitations of brainwashed society. I am homosexual and you are homosexual, so how about you love yourself a little more!

UN PAUSE

I did not say any of this shit to her. I simply glared with a fake smile..and logged into Blogger.
-keeping it real-

PAUSE again

Secondly, GAY was the meaning for happy too.  Yeah, if you haven't guessed, I was referring to this meaning when I made my statement. Shit is GAY! Somethings in life, I think, you just can't throw the word happy on it and call it a day. Somethings need for defining. GAY isn't just happy...it's extremely very really sickening cheesy type of happy. The type of happy that you can't simply throw a rainbow across and call it valid.

Shit be very GAY sometimes...
and I know there are some people out there that could get offended...but I'm sure they are looking for anything to be offended about. The word "GAY" flip-flops around as much as the word nigga. Yeah, I said nigga!...at least it wasn't nigger lmao.
(I can say that....I'm not only a gay cartoon, I'm a black gay cartoon...SHOUTOUT)

This is a wonderful world we live in...with words that can and do mean multiple things.  Regardless of the word, I'm going to put a positive meaning to it. That's the type of world I choose to live in.
Guess I can't say the same for her...
